Sandy, the B&B owner, arranged a driver to pick up Alice and Fei from Ortaglia and then drive to Rome airport. Due to flight schedule, Alice and Fei left around 5am. The driver was very professional and knew his way around. We arrived at the airport earlier then we expected.
We were early at the Air Canada check-in counter. After check in, Fei did tax return and got some VAT tax money back.
Mimi and Helen left a bit later from Ortaglia. Mimi did a fantastic job driving to Rome airport and returning the rental car. She also did tax return at the airport and was happy with the extra money she got.
Since our flights (one to Houston and one to San Francisco) are two hours apart. We met at the airport again. Of course, there were more hugs among us and we said good-bye one more time.
This 10 day trip was exciting, wonderful, and joyful. We will remember this trip forever.
